STUDENT ATHLETIC POLICY
A student athlete must achieve passing grades in all subjects. If a student received an unsatisfactory grade in any subject, any special or any area listed in the personal development area at the end of the marking period that immediately precedes or coincides with his/her participation in any sporting activity, that student shall be immediately prohibited from further participation in all sports. A student's athletic eligibility shall be restored effective immediately after a period of time when improvement academically has been noted.
ELIGIBILITY PROCEDURE
- All members of St. Agnes’ teaching staff shall advise the Principal if a student is academically ineligible to participate in a sporting event as defined by this policy. The Principal shall be notified if a student has satisfactorily improved.
- The Principal will receive a team roster for all sports and will notify the president of the sports committee of ineligible or reinstated players.
- Appropriate action is always within the judgment and discretion of the Principal.
- All members of the coaching staff shall similarly abide by this policy.
